DisneyWorld

Hey Nanny and G-Dad!

This week we went to Disney World! It was so much fun! I went on my first REAL roller coaster (Okay, so I've been on a no-name roller coaster, it was very small and I only did it because I was pressured into it)! But anyway, I went on Big Thunder Railroad. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! We went on it 3 times!

I'm going to make this short, because Kaylee might want to tell you about it. And I kind of have to watch my before bed TV... Uh hmm, My Little Pony to be exact. It IS not a kids show even though it's rated TV-7.

Got to go, sorry for this very VERY short note.

Love you!

Wow! Almost here! (talent show, that is)

Hi Nanny and G-dad! (wow, that's bright) :) :) :)

Tomorrow is out talent show for choir. I can't believe it's already here. I mean, it's not THAT big, but time just flies, don't ya think? We have been working really hard. I'll post tomorrow to tell you how it went. :)

On Wednesday, Johnny, Henry, Mom and I are leaving 4 Birmingham for our debate and speech tournament. I have to memorize TWO (Kinda) Speeches before The end of Wednesday!!!! AHHHH!!! Yeah, I know, kinda stressful, right? You guys have the easy part. All you have to do is watch fun speeches and make a bunch of circles on your judging sheets, then rank that person: 1-5th and below. :)
Giving speeches is fun, though. :) I gotta go memorize a 10 minute speech!!! Love you!!!

Love, Amy (who has to memorize TOO many things.) :) :) :) :) XOXOXOXOXOX

Some Daddy Daughter Fun

Dear Mom and Dad,
This past Saturday evening, Pat and the girls attended our American Heritage Girls Daddy Daughter Date Night.  I thought that you would enjoy some of the fun photos.  We got a photo of each Father with daughter(s) as they came in the door.  I was the photographer!

Proud Daddy with Girls

We provided some munchies for them to eat while they filled out "love notes" for each other that would be given to them later to take home.  Unfortunately, too many mom's brought sweets and we didn't have enough "meat".  Dad's like substance.  Not sweets.

Writing Love Notes to each other

Too many sweets!
Afterward we played a few games.  The Dad's had to guess which hands belonged to their daughter.  Pat guessed Chloe's, but didn't get Kaylee's.  In his defense, I didn't guess Kaylee's either!  And I know my girls hands too.  After the hand game, the girls had a chance to plant new "hair" on their dad's heads.
"Hmmm, they all look so similar...."

Dad sees Chloe's fingers!  "I recognize that hand!"

Chloe and Kaylee getting Dad's head ready for new "hair".
Kaylee, having a little too much fun throwing cheeto's at her daddy's head!

These Dad's were such great sports.

Dad with his Cheeto Hair-do.
It was a fun evening for both girls and Dad.  Now you know what we were up to on Saturday Night.  What did you do?

Love and miss you much.  Love, Kathee

The Title

Dear Nanny and G-Dad,

On Saturday was Winter Jam, and I went (If you aren't familiar with Winter Jam, it's the biggest Christian concert in America). It was my first concert so it was extra special. I went with my youth group, but not all the kids went. I think I was the oldest middle schooler there and then there were my friends Ava, Kylie, Amber, and Christina. We waited around for a long time, I think at least 4 hours, snacking on donuts and wishing the line for Starbucks wasn't so long. And finally, they opened the doors and we were almost in, and then, and then... THEY CLOSED THE DOORS ON US! So half our group was in and half of it wasn't. And then some lady said we couldn't bring bags in and everyone started freaking out... But she didn't get her facts straight because they let me take my bag in. Anyway, we got up to the highest seats possible and sat behind the stage. And let me tell you, 15,000 people praising God in one building is amazing. It blows your mind. The only thing I didn't like was I lost half of my hearing, but I don't care, it was worth it. One of the bands was really loud (heavy metal loud) and I couldn't hear a word they were saying so I sat down and played Temple Run on my iPod. TobyMac was there too, he played about 8 songs at the end. And then we got back in the vans and started heading home. Trying to sleep in a car with three 6th graders is hard. They just couldn't stop talking about school. I didn't go to bed till midnight and I'm still trying to catch up on sleep.

So, I've been thinking a lot about what I want to be when I grow up, and at first I wanted to start as a actress, then become a writer, then a marine biologist, and finally, own a coffee shop/book store and retire. Now I'm thinking I should write a book, produce and direct the movie, star in it (because no one can be Princess Cleostella like I can. Who know's her better than me?), after the series is done I go back to college and get my degree in Marine Biology, then I move to an unknown island off the coast of Australia and study the reefs there, and finally, move back to the States and own a coffee shop/book store/publishing company called Golden Unicorn. Yup, that's exactly what I'm going to do when I grow up and yes, I know, it doesn't sound like a reliable plan. Mom says I should just be a Marine Biologist, but what's the fun of just one job?

I have to go study. Oh, and G-Dad, I forgot to tell you, I got an A on my science test. The one before that was an F.

Love, Chloe

Update on Amy's Life

Hey Nanny & G-dad,

Henry, John, Mom, and I went to Memphis, TN for a speech & debate tournament. Unfortunately, none of us advanced. :(  It was super fun, though!! I met a bunch of people. :)

I was looking at Paris's forecast and it looks like it is going to snow! Well, you're not really in Paris. AND you are probably sick of snow. :) Of course, I would LOVE to have some snow in Auburn! Totally!!

Our talent show for choir is coming up. My friends, Emma R., Margot T., Clara J., and I are doing the song from "White Christmas" called: "Sisters"  I don't know if you have ever heard of that. :) I'm also doing three more acts, but I'm not going to name them for you. :) :) :) :)

I better go and get some more school done. Hope you have a great Valentines Day!!!

Love, Amy Gue

Amy's life

 Bonjour! Nanny and Gdad,

I gotta say, you guys are pretty lucky to be in FRANCE! :) when you go to Paris, I want you to take a zillion pictures and send them to me. Or........ Instead of wasting camera memory... You could just send me a ticket to Paris and I'LL take the pictures. :) then I'll be able to see you guys!

In choir, i'm singing an African song. The language is Zulu African. It is pretty cool. You'll have to come home from France for our concert. :)

I love you guys and I miss you soo much!

Love your wishing-to-be-in-Paris-with-you granddaughter,

Amy Gue

This is Heidi:
I love you both  so so so so so much
I love Paris so so so much, but I love both. :)

'Ello!

Guess I'm the second grandchild to post. I was hoping to be the first. That would be really exciting.

Well... What should I write about... Um...

Cotillion was fun. I kept tripping on my dress, especially during the Cha-Cha, but I maintained proper posture the whole time (you should be very proud Nanny, I didn't slouch... Much). And I got nominated for two dances (Foxtrot and the Cha-Cha) and like I said, I won the Best Girl Foxtrot Dancer (and it's all because of all the training I got dancing with you guys!). I feel bad for my partner, because he REALLY wanted to win. But oh well, there's another ball. It's amazing how proud parents are of their children. The parents of one of the boys I danced with came over and his dad said, "Oh, you're very pretty! Jack caught a good one!" and I was thinking, "I'm not his girlfriend, and we're not going to get married". Then they snapped a million pictures. It was sort of funny, and Jack was really embarrassed. He was nice. We talked about homeschoolers, because he didn't really know how our life styles were like. I was used to it, and then he asked the biggest question I get... Wait for it... "Why are you homeschooled?" Um, why am I homeschooled? Because... I just am. But I said something like, "Because my parents thought it would be better for me. Do you like pizza?" It was awkward. And then I asked him, "Why are you private schooled?" He didn't have an answer.

I think Kaylee put something about what we're doing in gymnastics class. James Bond. I'm really excited. We have to wear all black and I'm going to shoot some people in the audience and then cartwheel of the stage (Shoot with a finger gun, not a real gun. They'd probably kick me out of H.O.M.E.).

This is a picture I took for photography class. I took over 30 pictures, but only chose half of them. This is my favorite out of all of them though. That's my new bike. It's so cool, and it's name is Clairmont.

I think I put enough for one day, I'll post later. Maybe next week, I don't want to hog the blog!

I LOVE YOU BOTH!

Love, Chloe

Dear Mom and Dad,
This weekend we had a very exciting time!  Chloe attended her very first Spring Cotillion at the Eagles Landing Country Club.  We had fun picking out her dress together and shopping for shoes.  We also went and had her hair fixed for the special occasion.

The parents were allowed to stay and snap photos if they wanted.  We stayed for a bit and then Chloe mouthed "Please leave...."  :)  We left for awhile but we returned to snap a few more photos and snag a video or two.  She stayed towards the back of the dance floor, but we still managed to capture her beauty!

They were judged on their dancing and Chloe won "Best Fox Trot".  You would have been so proud!  It was a fun exciting time and all the young people seemed to have a great time.  Her next ball will be in the middle of March so we will keep you posted!

Here are a few more pictures.....

Love and miss you much!
